About Participant:

Participant develops assistive products, like wheelchairs, so that people with disabilities can participate more in society. We are a seed stage startup that functions as a virtual team. That means you can do your excellent work from wherever you want; and, there is potential for promotion and a full time position based at our future office in Colombia.



  • Manage metrics related to B-Corp certification

  • Generate financial reports and provide analysis to management

  • Manage logistics for international airfreight, LCL and FCL shipments

  • Monitor compliance issues for local offices

  • Manage bookkeeper

  • Manage reimbursable expenses to staff

  • Manage AP and AR

  • Analyze the performance of internal processes and lead improvements

  • Maintain record of physical assets

  • Monitor actual expenses versus budget

  • Manage onboarding for new hires

  • Manage contracts with consultants and vendors

  • Create invoices and POs

  • Assist with development of contracts and management of contracts

  • Assist with monthly close of books

  • Assist with budget development

  • Assist in developing finance policy

  • Assist in setting up accounting policy

  • Assist in making employee handbook


Education & Experience:

  • 2 years of experience in operations in a management role in a products company

  • 2 years of experience in sea freight logistics coordination

  • experience in a manufacturing plant is a plus

  • experience in e-commerce is a plus

  • demonstrated knowledge of GAAP

  • MBA or equivalent



  • Comfortable with a virtual team - without a regular office social environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish

  • Proficiency with Google docs

  • Positive attitude; solution oriented; efficient

  • Interest to learn

  • Excellent self-management, proactive, reliable, trustworthy

  • Highly organized and capable to create structure for teammates

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Ability to delegate, train, and mentor staff
